Removal
NOTE:

All vehicles

Remove the rear bumper cover.
Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
Vehicles without trailer tow package
-
With the help of an assistant.
Remove the nuts and the rear bumper.
Torque:
46 lb.ft (63 Nm)
Vehicles with trailer tow package
-
Disconnect the trailor tow electrical connector.
-
On both sides.
Remove the bolts.
-
With the help of an assistant.
Remove the rear bumper.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Vehicles with trailer tow package
-
With the help of an assistant, on both sides.
Install the rear bumper and hand tighten the bolts.
-
With the help of an assistant, on both sides.
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
Torque:
85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
