Ford Escape: Exterior Lighting / Removal and Installation - Reversing Lamp

Removal

All vehicles

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
    Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Reversing Lamp Assembly

    1. Disconnect the reversing lamp electrical connector.
    1. Remove the reversing lamp nuts.
      Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)
    1. Gently pull the reversing lamp away from the vehicle releasing the pin retainer. Remove the reversing lamp assembly.

Reversing Lamp Bulb

  1. Remove and position the reversing lamp bulb socket from the reversing lamp assembly.
  1. Remove the reversing lamp bulb.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
