Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the liftgate trim panel.
Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Disconnect the liftgate release switch electrical connector.

Remove the liftgate release handle bolts.
Torque:
13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)

Release the retaining tabs and remove the liftgate release handle.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the liftgate release switch.

Release the liftgate release switch retaining tabs.
-
Remove the liftgate release switch.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

The hazard flashers operate when the
