Ford Escape: Bumpers / Removal and Installation - Front Bumper

Removal
NOTE:

Remove the front bumper cover.
Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Remove the push pins, release the tabs and remove the upper radiator air deflector.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the push pins, release the tabs and remove the lower radiator air deflector.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Disconnect the horn electrical connector.
-
On both sides.
Remove the bolts and the horn and bracket assembly.
Torque:
97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Separate the wiring harness guides and position aside the wiring harness.
-
Separate the wiring harness guides and position aside the wiring harness.
-
Remove the cooling module.

With the help of an assistant.
Remove the bolts, the nuts and the front bumper.
Torque:
46 lb.ft (63 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
