Overview
The forward collision warning system works in conjunction with the ACC
system. The forward collision warning system alerts the driver of a
collision risk by illuminating the red warning indicator located in the
IPC information center and in the HUD . The IPC sends a request to the ACM to sound an audible warning chime.
Forward Collision Warning System With CCM
During a possible collision event, the CCM commands:

the IPC to activate the red warning indicator in the information center.

the IPC to activate the red warning indicator in the HUD .

the IPC to activate the chime message.

the ACM to mute audio volume and signal the chime.
Forward Collision Warning System Without CCM
During a possible collision event, the IPMA commands:

the IPC to activate the red warning indicator in the information center.

the IPC to activate the red warning indicator in the HUD .

the IPC to activate the chime message.

the ACM to mute audio volume and signal the chime.

Remove the camshafts.

If the camshafts and valve tappets are to be reused,
make sure they are assembled in their original positions.
