Ford Escape: Front Seats / Removal and Installation - Front Seat Track

Removal

  1. Remove the front seat cushion cover and foam as an assembly.
    Refer to: Front Seat Cushion Cover (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the front seat backrest.
    Refer to: Front Seat Backrest (501-10A Front Seats, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the front seatbelt buckle.
    Refer to: Front Seatbelt Buckle (501-20A Seatbelt Systems, Removal and Installation).

Installation

All seats

  1. NOTE: Transfer components to the seat track as necessary.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Driver seat with memory

  1. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Operate the seat track in all directions through the full range of travel to set soft stops and avoid a premature stopping point occurrence after the vehicle is returned to the customer.
